IMPLICATIONS OF UNION BUDGET (2024-25 ) PROPOSALS.

DYNAMIC CHANGES IN GLOBAL POPULATION PATTERNS.

 United Nations started celebrating July 11th as the "Population Day"  since 1990 after the concept of "World Population Day "was mooted  by the world renowned Indian demographer Dr.K.C.Zacharia .The population estimate and revision currently made by United Nations not only cover 150 years time horizon but also estimates for the period 1950-2024 and projections from 2024 to 2101 for each of the 237 countries or areas for which population estimates or projections are calculated. The estimates basically depend on fertility, mortality and net international migration from 1950 through 2023. BUDGET 2024-25: HOW TO TACKLE MAJOR CHALLENGES

 Union Finance Minister is to present full fledged Budget 2024-25 on 23rd July 2024 with specific objectives of generating employment, infrastructure development, reviving exports, accelerating GDP growth, Higher investment in health and education,boosting housing sector and real estate development.containing fiscal deficit and achieving fiscal consolidation,  price and financial stability etc.EventhoughBudget is only a financial statement of anticipated income and expenditure of the Government comprising of public revenue, public expenditure, public debt and the financial administration but if effectively and efficiently utilised it can achieve desirable economic, political and social goals. INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND (IMF) @ 80 : CASE FOR REFORM

 United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference held at Bretton Woods, New Hampshire in July with 44 countries established both IMF and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (Popularly known as World Bank).Even though both J.M.Keynes and Harry D White proposals were discussed in the conference instead of veteran economist Keynesian more constructive proposal due to  US vested interest White's proposals largely prevailed in shaping the IMF.
