Shattered Dreams-1

 Dr.Sundaram a physician had been living and practising in Trichur.After his marriage to Deepika he found that his economic status is not at par with his wife.Hence he decided to emigrate to Bahrain.His wife and 2 year girl child Anu joined with the doctor.Dr Sundaram got placement in a reputed hospital of Bahrain. Within three years they were blessed with another girl child named Anju. Both of them were like two' angels playing, singing dancing and acting.They were studying in an American school.

 After doctor's arrival in Baharin when 10 years had passed back home his mother became seriously ill. There was nobody to look after her.After much thought Sundaram decided to send back his wife and children to native place.As expected Deepika managed to get admission to her kids in an acclaimed English medium school.Children were very studious in studies.Anu evinced more interest in social issues whereas Anju got interest in science related activities.After Plus two Anu took admission in an Integrated masters program of Development Studies in I I T .As expected Anu was very happy to share and discuss social issues with faculty and friends.She was put under the group where the faculty advisor assigned was professor M K. Seshadri.As usual faculty advisor used to display seminar and assignment scores in his course.Quite unexpectedly Anu found that despite her best performance in the seminar the grade given was only D whereas her classmate Saranya was given A despite her poor performance.Next day some how gathered Anu gathered courage and decided to clarify with the professor.Shockingly professor shouted at her "don't think that you are only smart, don't you know that you are nothing,if you want to continue behave yourself, other wise get out of the institution. Better people are waiting outside".Anu felt extremely sad.  She discussed the matter with parents.They advised her to be happy, don't worry and not to provoke the professor and things will settle down.Her seniors told her that professor is very much caste biased and Saranya is a distant relative of him.Despite Anu's determination to forget the events things went in the opposite direction.professor's harassment continued unabated.One day she was returning back to the hostel from the department.On the way she had to cross Seshadri's chamber Saranya was there in the chamber and Anu heard professor yelling that he would see that Anu is quitting the PG programme.That night Anu could not sleep.His statements continue to haunt her day and night and she became highly depressed.Her dreams were shattered.On the third day her mind was struggling with the idea of committing suicide through out day and night the idea haunted her and finally early morning of the fourth day she jumped out of the hostel corridor and ended her life.
