Spider induced Romance

Santosh was born as the fifth child of Vasu Sharada couple in 1956.After four daughters when Santosh was born there was festivity inVasu's family.Excitement was very much that elder sisters and Sharada were even modifying the house and taking care of minute things kept in the house.Vasu a Colombo returned emigrant who had newly started a hotel in Trichur city brought lots of bananas and oranges to distribute to the neighbours on the occasion of celebration of the arrival of the boy.

Santosh grew up as a prince and as the name implies throughout life he remained jubilant and happy. His each and every need was fully taken care of by his parents as well as sisters. His plays and actions were keenly observed and encouraged.Gradually he started to crack small small jokes which attracted much excitement in the family.Tremendous encouragement to his jokes made him a person of humour.Cutting jokes gradually became a passion for him and at times jokes became substandard which never bothered him.Santosh had his schooling in the neighbouring Government High school hardly three hundred metres walk from his home.He was only an average student, his passion was football, except in languages he was not good in other subjects. When he reached the High school he emerged as a crowd puller. He used to crack jokes in front of students and teachers.By virtue of father's businesses and affection Santosh had been getting latest toys, devices and sweets.Promptly he would bring all these items to the school and demonstrate, sweets would be distributed particularly to the girls. In fact he was the first person who brought umbrella first time to the school. One day he was demonstrating the opening and closing of the umbrella, his mathematics teacher Narayanan master took it as a discipline issue and ordered punishment of standing up for two hours by Santosh on the bench. After the punishment Santosh emerged victorious and horribly hearty.

Several girl students admired Santosh's confidence, wit and humour.Among them one girl named Jalaja became much fascinated towards him.He also liked her wide eyes fair complexion and medium figure. They had been in the ninth standard when they fell in love.Their romance did get wide publicity and their names were written on the compound wall of the school. One day when the Head Mistress was making her rounds she discovered both Jalaja and Santosh romancing in the empty arabic class room. They were caught red handed. When she scolded them Jalaja wept whereas Santosh remained calm which even surprised Head Mistress.Parents were called next day and cautioned the need for concentrating in studies.Jalaja absented herself one week from the school. When she returned back she transformed into a serious student deeply concentrating in her studies. Next year she passed the tenth standard with a high first class and got admitted to pre degr program in St Mary's College Trichur . Santosh could not pass tenth standard and as expected he joined with his father's hotel business. His sense of humour and positive attitude had been attracting the customers and helping to manage the staff.

Real break through to his romance came only after six years,by then Santosh had grown up as a very handsome young man. That year as usual all his sisters and children came for Onam festival celebration. Children were playing hide and seek game.Lekha the six year old younger daughter of Santosh's eldest sister did hide in the coconut shed where lot of spiders were roaming It took much time to locate her hiding place.By that time many spiders crawled on her body and a young one entered into her left ear . Lekha screamed and all family members gathered and applied some home remedies as a result only one leg of the spider came out. They rushed her to the nearest doctor he also attempted to take the spider out but partially succeeded and in the process patient's neck twisted right ward.Matter became serious . Expert diagnosis and treatment were required and Lekha was taken to Medical College hospital Calicut. It took 14 days in the medical College hospital for Lekha to fully recover. Her uncle Santosh was very much present through out there In the medical College Santosh's second cousin Geetha was doing final year MBBS and Santosh got introduced to her batch mates and friends.

As usual Santosh did crack his jokes and narrate adventurous stories to them. One among them Dr.Lizy Jacob got infatuated by Santosh's smartness and sense of humour. She was the second child of a planter, Jacob Varghese from Wayanad.Gradually their friendship grown into full fledged romance. After completion of MBBS Dr lizy along with two of their friends chose Jubilee Mission Hospital Trichur for their practice .By that time Santosh's father became seriously ill and got admitted in the same hospital.Naturally both of them met and their attachment became very solid and discussed about marriage and Santosh used to bring special delicious food items to her.On the occasion of Christmas and New year he bought a silk saree to her from Chakolas. Despite religious differences both were adamant to get married.

While Santosh's family were not having much opposition and were eager to welcome a doctor to their familyfold, Lizy's family were vehemently opposed both on account of differences in religion and education They tried to influence through the Church but in vain.Santosh's father eagerly rushed to a popular astrologist Puthenchira Spivasankara kurup. He observed that better arrange the marriage at the earliest ,otherwise Santosh may be converted to other religion . Ultimately Lizy's affectionate John Jacob who was working in Bangalore came forward to solemnise the wedding. The marriage took place in SN hall Koorkancherry . Every thing went smoothly and the couple's Joy and excitement were beyond description.Santhosh got a doctor as life partner and the credit goes to the Spider ๐Ÿ•ท️๐Ÿ•ท️๐Ÿ•ท️
