The Quotation

 Asha and Haridas very glamorous couple got married on 25th December 1999 when Haridas was 27years old and Asha only 19 years old.Their marriage was solemnised in a local temple near Mathur and nearly 120 people participated.After marriage couple was staying in Haridas house along with his mother Valsala.Jamal was their immediate neighbour living with his wife Nazriya two kids and mother Ishuma.Jamal was running a fruitstall  in Coyalmanna and Haridas has been doing fish business and by virtue of their close attachment in the two houses fruits and fish were always available.

         Within three and half years Asha delivered two cute daughters.After second delivery couple had jointly decided to stop pregnancy and undergone hysteroscopy.Haridas' mother Valsala assisted a lot in upbringing the children Athira and Karthika respectively.Asha had studied upto Degree first year.When Karthika became 2 years old with the encouragement of Valsala, Asha had undergone a Certificate Course in Homeopathy dispensing.This course enabled her to get a job in a Homeo dispensary in Palakkad and she could supplement income of the family.

  When Karthika became six years old her grandmother Valsala developed some health issues.She experienced lack of taste for food, severe constipation, abdominal pain, blood in stool and fatigue.They consulted the local doctor and treated for nearly a month, but there was no improvement.Then she was taken to district hospital in Palakkad.After thorough diagnosis the doctor opined that it may be due to some tumour and better to consult in Amala hospital Thrissur.Accordingly Haridas and Asha took her to Oncology Departmentnt of Amala hospital.There the doctor did biopsy and confirmed intestine tumour and advised her to undergo radiation therapy.After periodical radiation therapy and treatment Valsala became very dull,lean and weak.After two years of cancer treatment very weak Valsala one Friday morning expired in Haridas' house.After her departure entire family felt so much solitude.Neighbour Jamal' s family had been very supportive looking after each and every need of Haridas' family.For Athira and Karthika Ishuma has been like their late grandmother.In order to cheer children and wife Haridas  took them to Ooty.Thereafter he made it  a rule to take them to any tourist attraction once in six months.life restored normalcy with Haridas attending his work at 230 am and returning back around 200 PM while Asha  was going at 900 and returning back at 600 pm from Homeo dispensary.

 Years passed, both Athira and Karthika became strikingly beautiful inheriting Asha's rosy cheeks,red lips and lotus face along with Haridas height and smartness.Similarly there was not an iota change in Asha's appearance which remained marvelous as ever.She has been considered to be the beauty queen of the region.After successfully completing Plus two with Science group as per her mother's suggestion Athira opted for nursing course which enabled her to secure job in a relatively reputed hospital in Palakkad. Karthika had planned to undergo under graduate program in the Govt Victoria College Palakkad.

    Homeo pharmacy where Asha has been working is located in a multistoreyed building surrounded by many shops and markets.Asha had been a major attraction to people there.Men were very particular to seek her attention.Among them Prakash the proprietor of a household gadgets Store who had been vigorously searching for a suitable bride for the past 13 years and remained as a chronic bachelor for want of appropriate match were included.He used to come to Homeo dispensary under some pretext or other and had conversation with Asha.As a part of sales promotion activities of different companies Prakash has been a frequent visitor of different countries.Whenever he returned back from a foreign country he would give some present to Asha .Asha had initially declined his presents and friendship, thinking about her children and husband who came to her mind.But Prakash continued his mission of winning her heart.Gradually his life style, affluence and affection fascinated Asha and she started to obey his whims and fancies. Prakash during Asha's break period regularly took her in his car to restaurants, cinema and Malampuzha gardens.This news some how reached Jamal's and Harida's ears.The two families jointly adviced Asha not to fall as a prey to such attractions and concentrate on daughters'future.She was partly convinced and agreed to cut off from him completely for the time being.But after 3 weeks she resumed contact with him.She dreamt a lot about Prakash and she was longing for his fondling and cuddling intensively.This time more determined Asha not only stayed  in Prakash's house but also travelled many tourists places in his car .

  Haridas' house became very much gloomy both Athira and Karthika were weeping and they were even suggesting the father the option of committing suicide jointly .But Jamal's family members were wholeheartedly buttressing them.Strong support was coming especially from Ishuma who was advocating the need to show courage and boldness.She had been persistently repeating the children that both of you are educated, one is already employed and fortunately you have got a caring father,Why should you worry?

 One month had passed.In Athira's hospital  ortho surgeon Dr Harish has been much impressed by her work culture,smartness and striking beauty.He proposed to marry her unconditionally.She appraised him about her family background.But he was firm and determined .With Harida's consent Ishuma and Nazriya met Asha at the Homeo Dispensary .They discussed about the condition of Asha's children and husband and the marriage proposal of Dr Harish.After much persuasion by Ishuma Asha expressed her willingness to return back to Harida's house but on the condition that he comes and pick her.Very reluctantly next day Haridas brought her back to his family.All were very happy and normal life returned back to the family.After three weeks as usual Haridas took the family to Munar tourist resort and spent two days.

  Three months have elapsed.One Sunday morning at 2 45 am after Haridas had left for routine fish trade , a bunch of coconut had fallen with loud noise in front of Jamal's house.When Ishuma got up and came out to collect the coconuts to her surprise she saw a person moving and creeping in to Harida's house.Every day Haridas has been going out sharply at 2 30. A M to procure fish when front door would be opened and Asha would not bolt it till Prakash arrived and their love making continued till 5 15 or so.This was continuing uninterrupted till Ishuma exposed it secretly to Haridas.

   After coming across the misadventures of Prakash and Asha ,Harida's immediate concern was to teach Prakash an unforgettable lesson..He weighed different options and finally Jamal had suggested taking the assistance of quotation groups.Accordingly he approached"Bullet Vasu"to assign the task.Vasu agreed to break Prakash's legs and inflict injuries and quoted rupees 50000 for the purpose.After much bargaining the quotation amount was reduced to rupees 45000. 

Next day as planned Haridas started at 230 AM as usual Asha kept the door unlocked and Prakash came inside around 250AM.Around 300 AM Bullet Vasu arrived and Haridas was waiting outside his house.Prakash was overpowered by Bullet Vasu and his left leg and right ankle were beaten and broken and inflicted minor injuries.Prakash some how managed to return back whereas Haridas directly surrendered to the Police and they remanded him.After one month he managed to get bail pending the case.

    Quotation incident was a major eye opener to Asha.She felt very much guilty of her wrong doings and seriously thought of her duties and obligations.She should not have encouraged Prakash , and should have better looked after her own family and children.Any way past is dead and currently she is immersed only in the welfare of her own family.Already by the grace of God Dr Harish had proposed Athira and they have to arrange the marriage.As far as Karthika is concerned a distant relative of Haridas working in the Air force evinced interest to marry her after the completion of UG program Gradually dark clouds have disappeared from their home.
